How to improve public morals?
Public morals has been a hot discussion and explosive topic for a long time in today’s society. Because it is related to everybody so closely that each person’s value trend and judgement standard and nearly all ascept of life are deeply influenced by public morals.
As water and air are prerequisite of human, public morals plays a core function in the process of the development of society. Public morals can restrain and regulate people’s words and deeds efficaciously. And that function has an advantage over law’s in social communication field. If our society is composed of people whose public moral standard is high, our social life will be more harmonious. On the other hand, undesirable public morals often lead to a series of complex social problems, such as food safety, social injustice and so on.
As far as I am concerned, there are many things we can do to improve public morals. First of all, we should start with ourselves, it is a indubitable fact that if every individual make a bit effort in public moral, our society will get great progress. Secondly, learn from model around us, such as Guo Mingyi who do his utmost to help others. The power of role modes is endless, our society need good models, and we are good at imitating others. Finally, we must fight against with bad manner which is harmful to public morals, because the dignity of public moral can not be invaded. All in all, every citizen has an unshirkable responsibility to improve our public morals, we should make best attempt to do any thing possible to improve public morals.
