As soon as I stepped into college, I found there is a huge difference between high school and college. It is an allowance that students can select their own lecturers for certain courses in college, which is impossible in high school apparently.

When choosing a teacher, several factors should be taken into consideration. On the one hand, a learned teacher is preferred. After all, for a student, studying is given full priority. A teacher with plentiful knowledge can ease the burden of study for many students and provide them with many opportunities for enlarging their scope of knowledge, while at the same time, realizing their potentials. On the other hand, a teacher with a clear and humorous teaching style is favorable. To large extent, whether a lecture is welcomed or not is depended on the way of delivering rather than its content. No one can deny that interesting interaction is far more enjoyable than monologue. Nevertheless, just as the proverb goes, everything is a double-edged sword, including choosing teachers for students. In fact, the factors that students consider might not be the ones that lead to the highest quality of education. Schools might end up with

利用英语选修课 提高英语写作能力的“非常4+1”

开设英语选修课,让学生的英语写作跳出瓶颈,获得新生。英语写作应该循序渐进,不要就写论写。我们在实际授课中,可以采用以下几个方面。

一、 加强基本功训练,从基本句型,时态、语态、句式入手 基本句型包括主---动;主--动--宾;主--动--补;主--动+双宾语;主--动--宾--补。学生掌握了这些基本句型,就不难写出语言通顺的作文来。措施:1. 用所给的单词或短语,按规定的句型、时态、语态进行造句。2.连词成句;3. 进行单句改错;4.简单句的英汉互译。

二、听写结合,培养写作能力

在平时听写的环节中,老师要有意识的听写句子、听写小故事或课文大意、或者把短文打乱顺序,听写单句,然后让学生连句成文。如《新概念英语2》或《新概念英语3》等书籍。 三、 说写结合,做到口头书面相结合

说和写紧密相关,说话训练是作文的基础,手写,可以从句子开始,指导学生说出正确完整的句子,如口头造句,用英语回答问题等等;然后,让学生表达连贯的句子,如复述课文,学完一个单元后,老师可以给出一些重点短语,让学生根据中心词复述课文。最后可以落实到纸上。

四、 读写结合,培养能力

要想写的好,必须读得多,“ 读书破万卷,下笔如有神。”就是这个道理。在讲解课文时,老师让学生阅读课文,了解大意,写出每段的中心句或者段落大意,也可以让学生进行缩写,或者续写。比如,人教版必修2 《Unit2 Healthy eating》中的using languange中的小短文,让学生续写故事是如何发展的,二人见面之后会怎么样,发生什么样的结果,即锻炼了学生的思维又锻炼了学生动笔的能力。当然,“书读百遍,其义自现”,通过读让学生养成背诵好句子的习惯,据为己有,就可大大提高写作能力。 五、 强化训练是关键

通过以上的有易到繁得训练,就可以布置学生写一定题材的文章了。在学生动笔之前,要求学生针对文章的要求写出一些关键词,常用的句型结构,短语,然后再连词成句,连句成文。每周至少一篇,老师可以面批,也可以挑选一篇学生的习作在课堂上集体批阅。加强写作训练。
