摘要：A method and apparatus for assessing the visibility of differences between twoinput signal sequences, e.g., image sequences is disclosed. The apparatus comprises aperceptual metric generator having an input signal processing section (110), a luminanceprocessing section, a chrominance processing section and a perceptual metric generatingsection (112). The luminance processing section simultaneously processes at least twoimage fields, so as to provide spatio-temporal channels whose calibration is independentof pure-spatial and pure-temporal channels.
