摘要：The present invention relates to a device for administration to the mammarygland cavity of a subject including at least one active agent; and, at least one carriermaterial; and, characterised in that the environment into which the device is inserted intoactivates dispersion of the active agent. In further embodiments, a muco-adhesivematerial is used as a retainer material for the carrier material / active agent mixture. Theaim of the device is to deliver active agent or agents to a subject in the form of asuppository that, on administration to the subject, disperses into the subjectenvironment. The device is particularly useful for delivery of an active agent to themammary gland of a lactating cow.
