摘要：A lockable window latch for double hung windows which pivots for cleaningincludes an outer shell, a latching member which is slidable therein and a locking memberwhich is rotatably received in the latching member and projects through an opening inthe front wall of the shell. The locking element has an elongated control portion orhandle which, when aligned transverse to the length of the latch permits latching andunlatching. When the handle is turned 90° so as to be aligned with the length of the latch,one of its ends abuts against an internal wall surface of the shell thereby preventingunlatching.
