My Favorite Sport
My favorite sport is badminton, and this essay will tell the reasons why I like it.
First, there are many advantages to play badminton. This sport is so easy to learn that we don't need to have great skills to play it. Playing badminton can keep us fit mentally and physically, give us more chance to make new friends, and teach us how to gain happiness from a simple game. It is not just a sport but an old friend who entertains us during bored time.
Second, the ample rules of this sport bring more entertainments and excitement to players. To briefly introduce, badminton is a racquet sport played by either two opposing players (singles) or two opposing pairs (doubles), who take positions on opposite halves of a rectangular court that is divided by a net. Players score points by striking a shuttlecock with their racquet so that it passes over the net and lands in their opponents' half of the court. A rally ends once the shuttlecock has struck the ground, and each side may only strike the shuttlecock once before it passes over the net. A match consists of three games, and player must score 21 points to win each game.
Third, it has an inspiriting history as an Olympic sport since 1992. At high levels of play, the sport demands excellent fitness: players are required agility, strength, speed and precision. These entire strict requirements benefit every player to make a wonderful performance.
In conclusion, the funny sport which is easy to learn and convenient to play appears much to participants. It can be played as a brilliant competition indoors and also a casual recreational activity outdoors like a garden or beach game. I have no reason to ignore the charming of this sport.
