摘要：In the new and improved radiation apparatus disclosed herein for inspectingtubular goods, a radiation detector is coaxially positioned within a tubular member beingaxially translated along a selected inspection axis for receiving radiation from a radiationemitter facing the detector and mounted in a body rotating around the exterior of thetubular member. One or more radiation-attenuating devices or shutters are
cooperatively arranged in the rotating body for regulating the intensity of radiationimposed on the detector. Uniquely-arranged controls are provided for selectivelypositioning the shutters as tubular members that are to be inspected move along theinspection axis, with these controls being adapted for operation without interrupting therotation of the body carrying the shutters.
