10月1日晚，2010年上海世博会中国国家馆日文艺晚会在世博中心拉开帷幕。中国全国常委会委员长和夫人及中外嘉宾出席观看演出。
整场文艺晚会持续约60分钟，共由9个节目组成，包括歌舞、组唱、京剧、钢琴独奏和杂技等。来自中国各地20多个演艺团体共六百多人参与表演。这些节目中，既有原生态的文艺节目，也有杂技、歌舞、舞蹈等表演形式，每台节目会配合舞台上ＬＥＤ多变的背景，为观众营造出多彩变化的不同意境。中国馆日正好迎来新中国成立61周年，这台演出也突出了喜庆、热烈、欢快的气氛。

October 1 night, 2010 Shanghai Expo China National Museum Holiday evening festival at the Expo Center began. Wu Bangguo, Chairman of the Standing Committee of China and his wife with Chinese and foreign guests watched the performance.
The whole evening festival last approximately 60 minutes, composed by nine programmes, including dancing, singing, Opera group, piano solo and acrobatics. From around 20 more performing arts groups of total over 600 people were involved in the show. These programs, both original ecological performances, acrobatics, dance, dance performances, each program met on the stage and varied background of LED to the audience to create colorful variations of different artistic conception. China's closing day is celebrating the founding of new China, 61 year old anniversary performances also highlighted the festive with warm, bright atmosphere.
