Later, I went out for lunch and got caught in a sudden downpour without an umbrella. I was completely drenched by the time I got back to the office. And to top it all off, I accidentally left my phone in the restaurant and didn't realize it until I got back to the office.

It was just one thing after another, and by the end of the day, I was feeling completely defeated.
