Unit 3 Travel journal单元整体教案

教学目标

1. 掌握旅游话题的英语表达方法。

2. 掌握本单元相关的词汇,句型和表达方式。

3. 通过本单元的听说读写训练,培养学生获取信息使用信息的能力。 4. 通过本单元的学习,提高学生的听力技能,阅读技能,和写作技能,

情感目标

1. 通过对本单元旅游话题的学习,帮助学生了解旅游知识,经过阅读,听说读写等内容的学习,使学生最后能有效的使用所学知识和语言,从而激发学生对英语语言学习的兴趣和语言的积极性和主动性。 2. 通过本单元旅游话题的学习,让学生认识英语学习的重要性,帮助学生了解人与人之间的合作精神和互相帮助的精神。

教学设计

Period 1 Warming Up

以旅游经历为切入点,为本单元的学习热身。谈论如果旅游的话,大家会选择去哪旅游,选择什么方式旅游,和谁一起去旅游等等问题,从而引出本单元的旅游话题。

Period 2 Reading(Pre-reading, Reading & Comprehending)

将Pre-reading, Reading 和 Comprehending布置成任务型阅读课并处理课后练习题。

Period 3 Learning about language & Using language

将Learning about language和Using language合在一起组合成语法知识学习和语言知识运用课。强化学生语言知识学习和阅读技能。 Period 4 Listening and speaking

将Listening and speaking这一部分设计成一节听说课。激励学生通过多听的方式熟悉和旅游有关话题的表达。 Period 5 Writing

在这节课中,学生通过对本单元知识的学习,总结话题相关内容,完成知识导图,从而完成本单元的写作任务。

Period one

Teaching aims

To get students to master the new words. To help students discuss the topic Travel To train students’ speaking and listening abilities. Teaching difficult point

To get students to be involved in the teaching and learning process, and use the new words and expressions to talk about something about travel. Teaching procedures Step 1 Warming up

1 Get the students to talk about their travel experience. . Where have you been? . Do you like travelling? Why? Step 2 Discussion

1 Which kind of transport do you prefer to use: bus or train? Think about the advantages and disadvantages of each form of transport and fill in the following chart.

2 Image that you plan to spend a holiday. Choose a place you want to visit. Think about the fare for different kinds of transport and decide how to get there. Then, get into pairs. Use these questions to make a dialogue about you holidays.

.When are you leaving? .Where are you staying? .How are you going to…? .How long are you staying in…? .When are you arriving in/at…? .When are you coming back? Step 3 Listening

Listen and answer the questions of Exercise 3 in pairs. Before listening, give students some time to read all the questions and try to find out useful information to help them with listening.

1 Which border of Laos is made by the Mekong River?

2 What did Wang Kun and his sister see when they cycled across the plains? 3 Which is the best season to travel to Laos? Why? 4 What did the river sound like?

5 How did they go to Vientiane after lunch? Homework

1 Ask students to make a plan for their coming holiday. 2 Preview the parts of Pre-reading and Reading.

3 Read the new words and expressions in the vocabulary and try to memorize them
