201300272010 2014/10/29 at the beginning of the war of independence , american fighted for freedom, which they dreamed of for a long time. as we all know, american was controlled by british all the time before the war. as the colony, they are forced to lose plenty of rights. and it is the very thing that agresssive american can’t put up with. it is acknowledged that american is a wise and farsighted nation, so they are bound to rebelling against fate rather than accepting unfair treatment. from the point of my view, the fact that american are often abused of being materialistic is just prove that they seek for liberty. what they think is more money means they can do things they like and it means more freedom.
now, let’s see the the declaration of independence. at the beginning, it says that” when in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bands which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws nature and nature’s god entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.” and
i think that liberty is equal. if they are equal, they can pass laws, the most wholesome and necessary for the public good. they can do the things that benefit for american. that is liberty.
