摘要：Electronic data processing methods and apparatus which can be used to enablea gaming scheme based on an actual sporting event held over a playing area. Event dataidentifying at least one winning event is stored and stored actual event data andassociated event location data corresponding to actual events that occurred during theactual sporting event is searched to determine the location in the playing area in whichthe at least one winning event occurred. From the event location data associated with thewinning event data a zone identifier corresponding to a zone in the playing area isdetermined and the zone identifier is used to obtain an owner identifier associated withthe zone so as to identify a person.
