摘要：Device for detecting an electrical short circuit comprises first means forprocessing a signal representative of an electric current and outputting a first signal (i)representative of the current and a second signal (di divided by dt) representative of itstime derivative. Second means (7) are used to process the two signals to determine if athreshold curve is exceeded and to monitor the ratio of the variations of the two signals.A short circuit signal (8) is generated if a threshold is exceeded and a circuit breakeractivated. The invention also relates to a corresponding circuit breaker and method fordetection of a short circuit.
