Abstract:Er2yaisapioneeringworkinthefieldofChinesetoponymylinguistics.ItcreatesanewstyleofcriticalinterpretationofplacenamesinancientbooksandmakesasystematicexplanationofsomespecialnamesaswellasgeneralnamesofplacesintheQinDynastyandintheHanDynasty,thusoriginatingnormsofinterpretingplacenamesinancientbooksandexercisingaprofoundinfluenceonthefollowingtwothousandyearsoflinguisticto2ponymy.
