摘要：A transmitter for transmitting an intermittent sequence of messages tomaintain synchronization between the transmitter and a receiver. The transmitterincludes control apparatus which provides messages for transmission, each messageforms part of a sequence of messages and includes control information and timinginformation, and transmission apparatus which transmits each message. A receiver forsynchronizing with a sequence of the transmitted messages. The receiver includesreceiver and synchronization apparatus responsive, when enabled, to the controlinformation in the message to indicate to the control apparatus reception of themessage. The control apparatus controls power conservation by disabling the receiverand synchronization apparatus for a period of time dependent upon the timinginformation and enabling the receiver and synchronization apparatus to receive afollowing message in the sequence.
