摘要： A machine expansion of a workpiece or pre-cut notch (30) having a plurality ofribs (31) spaced by web portions (32) comprises a table (12), blowing means consisting in atransverse bar (17) carrying claws (20) and mounting plates (25) fixed relative to the table(12) with a movable crossbar (18) carrying claws (21) and mounting plates ( 26) driven formovement transversely to the table (12) by a driven gearwheel (14), a chain (15) and areturn wheel (16). Connecting means (24) are connected to the mounting plates (25, 26);these connecting means are of the expansion bar (27) adapted to engage selected ribs(31) of the workpiece (30); by operating the chain drive (14, 15, 16), the connecting means(24) and the expansion rods (27) are moved from an initial position in which the expansionbar (27) are sufficiently close to allow the positioning of the workpiece (30) on the table(12) and expansion bars (27) between adjacent ribs (31) of the workpiece to a finalposition wherein the bars expansion (27) have been displaced to effect an expansion ofthe workpiece (30) by a predetermined amount.
